Making the Cover!

* * * * *
The article isn't about just dogs.
Gorillas with far larger brains and demonstrated
understanding and logic rank higher on the list
than the canine species....

but I'll quote one of the authors, Nancy Gibbs
about her dog after having her spayed:

"Why wasn't she mad at us? I suppose we could have concluded that she was just blindly loyal and docile. But eventually we knew better. She is entirely capable of disobedience, as she has proved many times. She will ignore us when there are more interesting things to look at, rebuke us when we are careless, bark into the twilight when she has urgent messages to send.
But her patience with our failings and fickleness
and her willingness to give us a second chance
are a daily lesson in gratitude".

Our dogs' abiding devotion keeps us on a benevolent leash, one that hangs quietly at our side as we trot along but occasionally yanks us back to safety and solid ground.

Gracie, lavender and the bee

* * * * *

First of all, click to enlarge the image.
I don't know any dog that hasn't had at least one bee encounter.
It's part of summer activities.
They're always attracted to the monster bumbles
that buzz and hover like a helicopter.

This professional photographer, Erin Vey never dissappoints.
Gracie is her great dane...her first baby...her human baby
is due soon, so it will be exciting to watch the journey.

Can I Have a Dollar?

* * * * *
Canine Ice Cream Trucks.
Why not?

But remember, when they hear the music,
they'll be running to you with
"Can I have a dollar for ice cream....pllleeeeasssse?????"

Are English dogs more pampered than American dogs? Well, the English dogs have ice cream service coming to them! Yes, K99 debuted in London and offers dog-friendly flavors for their canine customers. Pups have the choice of Dog Eat Hog World and Canine Cookie Crunch. Yum!

London dogs are entertained by the Scooby Doo theme song while they figure out what flavor of ice cream they desire. It sounds like K99 London could be something American dogs would appreciate. Dog lovers in America love to spoil their hounds and what better way to treat our pups on these sweltering summer days, than with canine ice cream!
