Lia: Yay...Jada's here....let's play!
Jada: What are we gonna do?
Lia: Dig under the tomato plant......play chase with twigs...
Jada: This is great - running without leashes.
Lia: THEN....here's another game: where ever you stop, look for whatever posie is mouth level and eat it. Then go run again when you see Mom coming....keep running around like we're playing...
Jada: I'm getting really hot....how hot is it?
Zoe: Too hot to be the dog days of summer....and it's only June...
Jada: The what?
Zoe: "The dog days of summer", refers to the hottest, most sultry days of summer. They are a phenomenon of the northern hemisphere that usually falls between July and early September but the actual dates vary greatly from region to region, depending on latitude and climate. Dog Days can also define a time period or event that is very hot or stagnant.
Lia: Doesn't matter anyway...we like the heat.
Jada: Um....I rather like the air conditioning when it's this hot, actually...
Lia: okay...Me too...
Zoe: (....big fat whimps......)
