WHAT EASTER MEANS TO US

Easter, to our species, is a New Beginning.
It's new warmer air.
It's days staying light longer so we can dig in the garden
after we've gone for nice long walks
or spent a day at our kind of heaven ~
the Dog Park.

Easter is freshly cleaned bedding on all those
bolsters you bought us
It's a cleaned out toy basket
altho we hate when you throw away the carcasses.

It's a couple new bones and some fresh balls
to help get the season started....

Refreshed - Renewed - even some 'Reminder' Training
and...yes...dogg'it:

Spring Cleaning.....The Bath.

so that we're all spruced up and ready when someone yells

"ok....The Easter Bunny just hopped off...come and find colored eggs"

Keeing our Distance

Every now and then Mommy has a challenging day.
We call them Affenpinscher Days.

When one of us does something she finds objectionable
or...says we have a bad attitude
Like...we don't really listen very well
or...we're perceived as negative rather than positive

She'll say:

"If I wanted an Affen, I could have had one...."

So..

today when she came home from work, all she said was
"Affenpinscher"

We've tried to be good girls the rest of the evening.
But we don't think it's us.
We think it's the bad dogs at her work. So there.
