Lia: We're bored...Me'n' Zo missed going to daycare today.

The Mommy: So...a yuck day for all of us. How can we fix that?

Lia: Well...I don't know about you, but a rawhide or a few cookies helps me.



The Mommy: Skip the rawhide - but I think you're onto something LeeLee...

Zoe: IT is a kitten - from the feline species.

Lia: Why is "akitten" in our bathtub?

Zoe: You're an ass. The baby cat, a kitten - is in the photographer's bathtub. On Fridays, other species will appear here...because...it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round and we're gonna share Fridays with them.

Lia: Are they going to take my secret stash also?...while whe world is spinning? (i think i might throw up).

Actually, I had to re think this: is it Hoarding - as in - she needs phychological help...

or is it winter and there's no place else to hide bones, to wit:

This looks like a bunch of blankets on a couch with a bench shoved up

against the couch, yes?

And...from a distance, all appears normal.

Well...normal in this house.

This is usually where Lia hangs out if she's ready for a nap.

But - as I learned yesterday, upon closer inspection, it seems Miss Lia

has a secret hiding place...not only for HER chewies, treats, rawhides...



but she's also stealing from Zoe (when Zoe's not looking, I'm sure)...
and as I pull the 'bankie' out from between the couch and
the bench ~ voila! Paydirt!!!!!




WooHoo!!! The Mother Lode!
To which Zoe quickly ascends on HER treats...


and begins the chewing frenzie...


much to Lia's dismay as I allow her ONE .....and as you can see...
as I point out her 'one', she pouts as I take away the surplus

My poor heartbroken Lia - got FOUND OUT AND SO SO DISAPPOINTED.

She pouted the rest of the night as she muttered things like

"I can't wait for summer when no one can find where I hide stuff"

Well - as least I now know where I can hide their easter eggs.

Tasty recipes from this month’s Bon Appetit? Nope. They’re all recipes for healthy, wholesome homecooked meals for your dog found in Made out of Love, a new recipe book from The Honest Kitchen…

You may already know The Honest Kitchen for their healthy, human-grade, grain- and gluten-free dehydrated dog foods and supplements. Now Lucy Postins, founder and president of THK (and companion animal nutritionist), has compiled this collection of 65 recipes for homecooked dishes for your dogs and cats, from quick and easy food toppers to delectable main courses and desserts. Postins includes helpful information about ingredients, portion sizes, and foods that can help pets with ailments such as fleas, itchy skin, and diabetes.

Each recipe is clearly coded as suitable for dogs, cats, and in many cases, humans too (although I do think I’d pass on “sardine salad” anyway). While some recipes require the use of specific THK dehydrated foods, many of the recipes can be made with ingredients right from your grocery store.

Lia's Opinion of The Office

Lia: So...you know how sometimes I go to doggie daycare to play with my species: run....jump...roll...race....bark....wrestle....race....nap....y'know....really good dog stuff....? and you go to the The Office with Mommy?




Zoe: Yeah. You get lots of "oooohs" and "aahhhhs".... lots of doggies cookies and human breakfast - like cheerios from Aunt Jan - and roasted chicken from Aunt Terre - and rawhides from Aunt M'liss and pets 'n' stuff from Aunt Cherie and Aunt Cathy...and Aunt Karen Allerton wants to take me home....and then you can nap whenever you want - and someone always takes you outside........ . . .....yeah...so what about it?




Lia: Well...I don't get it at all. After you say hello to everyone, get your picture taken by Aunt Lindsey - and Aunt M'liss lets you stay in her office till you've farted too much...
then there's NOTHING TO DO.......IT'S BORING! Oh, sure...all the people are nice...but none of that stuff you said happened to me...I was glad to come home and chase that 'ol squirrel up the tree!

Zoe: (....can't play to the crowd, aye?...heh heh)
